As a part of the Older American Act, Legal Services Alabama contracts with the Area Agency on Aging of West Alabama to provide free legal assistance to persons 60 and older.  Legal Services Alabama provides assistance with advanced health care planning tools like power of attorney and living wills. They may also assist with housing issues, fraud, long-term care, health care, public benefits, protective services and similar topics. No fees are charged for the service, but donations are welcome.
